Aspirion is a device whose effectiveness has been confirmed by research conducted as part of a project led by BEWI Bernard Wójcik, a manufacturer of PVC and aluminum joinery, in collaboration with the University of Gdańsk, Faculty of Chemistry under the supervision of Prof. Adriana Zaleska-Medyńska, Ph.D., Eng., and with the Małopolska Center for Biotechnology of the Jagiellonian University under the supervision of Prof. Krzysztof Pyrć, Ph.D.
The project focused on developing an innovative technology for removing coronaviruses, including SARS-CoV-2, from the air using photocatalytic layers integrated into an air purification device.
